|Work is well underway towards achieving the Kaiāwhina Workforce 5-year actions for the health and disability sectors.

Careerforce launches MyPath online learning and assessment platform
This development supports the progress in achieving the following Outcome and Action:
Practical assessments are still undertaken in the workplace with many employers now capturing evidence of competence as it occurs during a normal working week.

|Good news as Kaiāwhina Workforce Taskforce welcomes new faces to represent the ‘Consumer Focus’ domain
Mary Maringikura Campbell is the Consumer Consultant at Te Korowai Whariki and Mental Health Consultant for the Capital & Coast, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa DHBs. She is also a member of the Ministry of Health Long Term Conditions Consumer Panel and the Health Quality and Safety Commission Consumer Network Group.
Marj Allan works with the Health of Older People group, is a member of the Health Quality and Safety Commission Consumer Network Group and the South Island Palliative Care Working Group. She worked with the Southern Cancer Network to establish the South Island cancer consumer group, including membership of the National Cancer Consumer Representative Advisory Group.
As the coordinator for Health Consumers Advisory Service NZ, Gary Sutcliffe has been supporting the Kaiāwhina Workforce Taskforce (the Taskforce) in engaging the consumer representation on the Taskforce. He joined Marj and Mary at the Taskforce meeting in May to introduce and contribute alongside them. Gary is a Peer Support Specialist, currently supporting people with multiple long-term health conditions and will deputise for either of the Consumer Representatives if they are unable to attend a meeting.
